“After forty years of questions and twenty of experiments and comparisons, I have made my choice. That is because I want that all our work, as well as the days and nights that we dedicate to our products culminate with a wine that matches our commitment and your expectations.
That is my perfect twist: from the vine to the last turn of the cap.”
Franz Haas
we have dedicated ourselves to the pursuit of perfection.
In the taste, in the aroma, in the colour of our wines.
This is why we have been questioning ourselves about continuing the use of cork stoppers for almost forty years now: the quality of this material is unfortunately not what it once was, and its use involves ever more frequent alterations in the taste and aroma of our products.
Since 1996, we have studied all the possible alternative closures. Long years of travels, tastings, and comparisons with the finest winemakers around the world and, above all, of comparative tastings on several parallel bottles from each vintage, have finally led us to choose
-
It maintains the taste
It avoids unpleasant contaminations and alterations in the taste and aroma of the wine, eliminating for both us as producers and other professionals in the sector the problem of failed bottles, which represent a huge disappointment, as customers might believe that the product is not good, of a lower quality, or has been badly stored.
-
It seals in the perfect way
It allows a perfect bottle sealing. This means that the wine might not be very expressive immediately after its opening, but a few moments of oxygenation are enough to let it gradually release its original taste and aroma, without unpleasant surprises.
-
It ages well
It allows a longer conservation even for those wines that need more refinement in the bottle, and also allows to keep the bottles in a vertical position.
-
It is suitable for every wine
The screw cap we have chosen is a complex and valuable object, which makes it possible to diversify the internal gasket according to the type of wine and destination.
-
It protects the wine
When compared to cork closures, the screw cap reduces the likelihood of alterations during transport and storage because it leaves more room for the wine expansion and contraction movements, which may result from temperature variations.
-
It is useful
After its opening, it closes perfectly, allowing an excellent wine conservation.
