Once again, our wines have been tasted and rewarded by James Suckling. We are absolutely delighted with the results and proud to share them with you:
- Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC 2019: 92 points
“Lovely aromas of white flowers and blanched almonds to the apples and spiced pears. It’s full-bodied with intense, fresh fruit and tangy acidity. Minerality at the end. Drink now.”
- Lepus Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2019: 93 points
“This is a white with pretty density of cooked apples and pears with hints of cream. It’s full-bodied with plenty of ripe fruit and intensity at the finish. Bitter lemon at the end. So powerfully flavored. Drink or hold.”
- Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC 2019: 92 points
“A spicy gewürz, as always, with burning cloves on the palate, as well as dried apple and pineapple. It’s full-bodied, medium-dry, creamy-textured and flavorful on the finish. A little oily. Drink now.”
- Manna Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018: 93 points
“Loads of mangoes and apricots on the nose follow through to a full body with lots of dried fruit, such as peaches, following through to a lively, fresh palate. Light bitter citrus on the finish. Complex as always. Drink now.”
- Lagrein Alto Adige DOC 2018: 93 points
“Rich and layered lagrein with blackberry, black-olive, bark and black-tea character. Full-bodied with soft tannins. It’s generous and savory. Drink now.”
- Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC 2018: 92 points
“A flavorful pinot with driedstrawberry, cherry and walnut character. Slightly smoky undertone to it. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs a year or two to soften. Try after 2022.”
- Pinot Nero Schweizer Alto Adige DOC 2017: 94 points
“A rich, complex red with dried berries, cedar, toffee and smoke on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and very layered with round, soft tannins on the mid-palate that open up to a tangy and vivid finish. Drinkable now, but better in 2022.”
- Pinot Nero Pònkler Alto Adige DOC 2015: 95 points
“Gorgeous strawberry, smokedwood, mushroom and sous-bois character. It’s full-bodied with juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Exciting. Drink or hold.”
- Moscato Rosa Alto Adige DOC 2019: 90 points
“A very perfumed red that is lightly sweet with melons and apples. Medium-bodied, crisp and fun. Like a normal moscato, but red-colored. Serve with fruit, such as peaches.”
These important acknowledgments confirm that we are working in the right direction and encourage us to continue our efforts with determination and resolution.
