Throughout our long history, we have developed a very lucky and strong bond with the artist Riccardo Schweizer, who has designed many of the labels of our wines. Right from the very beginning, our labels were greatly appreciated by the public and even today, thirty years later, they stand out on the shelves of wine shops and restaurant tables and are a real Franz Haas distinctive mark.

Riccardo Schweizer
The artist Riccardo Schweizer was born in 1925 in Mezzano, a hamlet of the Primiero valley. Riccardo was an Italian painter, sculptor, photographer, designer, and architect. During his career, he worked together with many renowned artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Cocteau, Paul Éluard, and Le Corbusier.
For Franz Haas, he designed many labels, which were donated by Maria Luisa Manna to Franz as a token of good fortune for the release of his wines. The first label chosen by Franz was the one of the current Pinot Nero Schweizer, first vintage 1987, released in 1990.
